DESCRIPTION:Mahamudra / Dzogchen Commitment Retreat\n\n\n\n (Schedule TBA) \n\n\n\nRural Retreat in a unique outdoor location in Loveland\, OH \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\nPlease join a gathering of the international sangha for an in-depth commitment retreat at a unique outdoor location in Loveland\, Ohio as Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche presents two classic texts from both the Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions. • A Mahamudra Investigation into Confusion. This text captures the profound teachings Lord Jigten Sumgon offered Khenpo Zodpa about how confusion arises that leads to our Samsaric state and how we can overcome it. \n\n\n\n• Garab Dorje’s Striking the Vital Essence in Three Words. Garab Dorje is recognized as the first human teacher of the Ati Yoga Dzogchen or Great Perfection teachings. As he ascended into Parinirvana\, he offered a golden casket containing this precious teaching to Manjushrimitra. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT!  This is a Commitment Retreat. Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche requests that those who attend commit to attending the entire retreat. This ensures you receive the maximum benefit from these precious\, rarely-bestowed\, high-level teachings. It is said that not fulfilling a commitment can create obstacles to receiving these teachings in the future.Teachings will be held under an open tent and at a simple meditation cabin. Walking on trails required to access the teachings.This retreat offers the International Sangha an opportunity to come together at a beautiful wooded location for a unique\, in-depth retreat experience. It is an inspirational\, rustic setting that features a waterfall. This has been the site of many Achi Smoke offerings and previous Dharma teachings\, including those by H.E. Garchen Rinpoche.Limited primitive camping sites and outdoor facilities will be available.This is a rustic retreat with outdoor camping in a rural setting. Students will need to bring their own camping equipment. Meals will be provided.
